Quick update:
I was unable to remove the sanding marks with the tools and chemicals I have, so the car will have to go to a professional unfortunately.
I was way more confident about this and it turned out to be a nightmare. Spent 6 hours in my garage with very little results.
Unless you have the right tools I would not recommend tackling something like this by yourself.
Also, I dropped the door handle screw inside the door which seems to be a huge PITA to get out or replace since the dealer says that part can't be purchased alone and it's part of the door carrier (not so smart engineering imo). I'm asking them to try and retrieve it and attach it in addition to finding out whether the screw was supposed to fall at all since I was under the impression that it simply can't fall inside.
