While I understand the point of view "I dont want the extra weight / dead weight system' I would say this - try driving one (except it's now a 550e or something)
You are simply never aware of said 'extra weight' and it most certainly is not dead - even when no pure electric miles available, the system remains active, adding it's 100+ horses as and when you ask for it.
It's a choice, and for me, I am perfectly happy with mine.
A mere 806 545e made it to the UK, so far from a common sight.
I am sincerely hoping BMW significantly alter its design aspects for the next model / revision, as this will be mine for another 3 or so years, and the new designs simply do not inspire me whatsoever unfortunately.
