For me, selling a fully loaded M550i bought in 2022/2023 and replacing it in 2026 (assuming moving to a 3-yr old MY23 M550i) at a pretty substantial loss wouldn't make any sense especially given that MY21+ doesn't bring much to the plate over the MY20. It sounds even worse financially to offload what sounds like a low miles M550i at a substantial loss only to get into the same car that's barely 3 years newer, which is not that much given that these cars can easily be in top shape physically for 15+ years.
Anyway, just my thoughts and I'm a buy-and-hold kind of guy so my thought process about this is quite different than those who like to switch every few years. Purchasing a car is a good deal of an emotional decision so one does what makes one happy.
