The way I read the Carbahn warranty info (and I could be wrong, was just a quick read), was that if you're under manufacturer warranty, Carbahn will cover anything BMW says is broken because of the tune.
If you're outside of the manufacturer warranty, Carbahn only covers Carbahn parts - which if this is just a software tune, doesn't seem like it's covering much of anything. If it's a pigtail/other hardware, then it would just cover the items installed.

So, if something breaks outside of your car's normal warranty, then you're out of pocket for the repairs, whether or not it's related to the tune.
