Check inner tire wear!

I had one of my Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric run flats 245/35/20 (front) on my m550 delaminate along the inside edge. At first, I couldn't figure out how that would happen- There's a slash about 6"-8" long and figured maybe it was some very motivated vandalism. A quick forum search and I see this has been a known problem for years across a few different tire brands, sizes and make of car they're fitted on.

Just wanted to put out a reminder to those of you running Goodyear run flats to carefully check that inside edge! It's hard to see, but you can definitely feel a scalloped edge where the tread meets the sidewall, and this will eventually lead to a delamination/blowout.

I'm replacing the run flats with a staggered set of Michelin pilot super sports, and hopefully those will be better all around.
