Update, after keeping the car in the shop for 2 1/2 weeks, they finally confirmed the battery has a couple of failing nodes and BMW authorized replacement. But, the battery is not in stock anywhere in the USA nor Germany. So they said they may keep the car for a couple of months. I think I know what happens, in 2019 or 2020 they put larger batteries in 530e, and those larger capacity batteries run on higher voltage, so they can’t just put it into my car without completely redoing the electrical system. And my specific battery probably doesn’t exist in the nature, since there were probably very few of those cars sold at that time.
I am ok with the loaner they gave me, so I guess I will have to wait. But the most important thing is that I can stay with BMW and buy another vehicle from them, This was an ultimate test for me.
