New 2018 530d M Sport xdrive Med Blue

Picked up today. Drove home in the snow - xdrive works like a charm.
Goes like a rocket and sticks to the road like glue when going around corners. Superb colour. The comfort seat are great and they tighten up when in sport mode.

The guy after me was picking up his brand new M4 in the snow.....div!

Drove into work this morning and it's a stunning drive. the new xtraffic alert is useful.
One gripe: in my old F10 on a cold morning, I could go outside and start the car and then lock it, then go back inside whilst it defrosted.
Can't do it in the G30. When I lock the car, the horn starts honking.

I thought that could be set in IDrive, may be wrong but check.
Roads have improved some here (main Roads) so going to try at lunchtime to get the car before this next batch of Snow hits later.

Dealer moved mine out of the nice, dry showroom for me to drive through the snow and salt yesterday and demonstrated how you could close the door and lock the car, but advised not to do it when the rest of the street was asleep as the horn sounded. I got the impression it sounded once just to make sure you were aware the engine was running, rather than it being continuous. It certainly didn't go off when I unlocked it or moved off!

Excellente! I nervously unlocked it quickly to stop it from honking.

My G31 is almost exactly the same spec - I was supposed to collect today from my dealer, but can't get there because my train has been cancelled!

Will have to wait until next week.... bummer.
