Hey! Did you end up getting the Dinan or H&R spacers? If so, no more vibration? I'm currently dealing with the vibration as well, so I have some Dinan spacers, to replace what I have on now, in my cart ready to purchase! Im just hoping someone who dealt with the vibration can confirm that upgrading to a higher quality spacer gives back that smooth ride at higher speeds.

I can't seem to find the thread where I was complaining about some vibration, after adding spacers and swapping my wheels from the driver side to pass side.
So I swapped my wheels back to the original sides and the vibration def decreased, but there was still a small vibration. I ended up removing the spacers I got and bought Dinan spacers to replace them. Thankfully I was able to return the original spacers. The vibration is gone for the most part, but every now and again it's there slightly, on certain roads and it's throwing my for a loop. It happens around the 60-80mph and it's not always. I'm debating getting my wheels RF balanced but maybe I have a slight bend one one of the rims? No idea. It's just annoying to experience. Part of me thinks maybe certain roads have ripples in them too? Who knows?! In any case, I really like how it looks. Def gives the car somewhat of an ”enhanced” stock look...if you will...! I went with 12/15 (Dinan). I can see why some of you guys would opt for 18 in the rear though. It would probably fit more flush at 18, but I like how this looks. BMW should've done this from factory! |

This is an old thread, reading back on my remarks. I ended up moving from 17mm to 20mm out back and an real happy with the look. Looks great BTW.

Think I'm going to have a local place RF balanced the wheels. It'll be like $120, so not horrible and I'll ask them to see if they see any bends. The wheels haven't been balanced since Dec 2021, maybe they need it. Did the 20mm make the wheel gap look bigger? I get the feeling as time goes by, I may want to up my rears a little. |

Did you clean the hubs thoroughly with a wire brush and treat them up with some oil? As time went by with the 17mm's out back, it just bugged me that the 12mm up front were more flush then the rears. I could almost accept the opposite. I think it made the wheel gap look tighter (smaller).

Thanks! Yeah, I have been busy or should I say obsessed. I have nothing left to do and getting a little bored. I think the last thing I will do is tint the windows, then there really is nothing left. Springs are not an option in Massachusetts.

Did you ever change the climate control module out for the touchscreen? I saw this video of a guy taking a 7 series module and retrofitting it into a 5 for like $150. Now it's got me thinking!! 🤔 |

I did the touchscreen climate panel a while ago. I bought the real deal designed for the G30/F90 with ceramic controls. I bought it from a Poland seller off ebay. $300 I think. Hard to find now which is why people are piecing them together from other models.

How about an F10 in Carbon Black? I have 50% windshield and front windows & 75% on the back windows. I also have an 8" limo tint strip at the top of the windscreen. |

We'll I guess it's not technically 35%. It's 35% tint over the slighty tint within the stock glass from the factory, which my tint shop read as 75%. So if I remember correctly, I think it actually read 26 or 27, when all done. However, I have a document saying 35% tint from the tint shop as my "proof" that this is "legal". Lol.

Joe - you said (in part) that "As time went by with the 17mm's out back, it just bugged me that the 12mm up front were more flush then the rears. I could almost accept the opposite. I think it made the wheel gap look tighter (smaller)." Am I reading this wrong, or are you implying that those most recent pictures have 20mm in the rear? Personally I'm trying to decide on 15 vs. 17 right now.

Fast forward, I had to remove all the spacer over a year later to troubleshoot something (story for another day). A few months later it was time to put them back on, so I had my shop order me the 20’s after speaking with a friend who was running 20’s. Now I have the opposite. The rears are a bit more fiush than the front and that’s what I prefer, especially with a staggered setup.

Sooooo as usual, I know jacksh**. But I purchased the H&R spring kit for my ‘23 530xe AND the “flush” wheel space kit for a G30. From reading…. I guess the “flush” kit may be too much after lowering????

Lowering definitely changes the dynamics. Correct, to achieve flush, the spacer size needed will be less for a lowered car. Don’t ask me why the size needed changes with lowering, but some of it has to do with avoiding rubbing.
