I started a thread like this on an E39 forum years ago that was well received, contributed to regularly and fun. I'm not sure how many of you peruse BaT, but I do daily and love watching auctions for cars old, new, rare, restored, etc. BaT was actually founded by two BMW enthusiasts. You will always see plenty of BMW inventory there, but overall some pretty cool cars to follow and see what they go for. I bought my E39 off BaT.

If you are a BaT follower (or become one), use this space to post some links to cool cars. The presentation of the auctions are clean and quick to get through.

I'll kick it off. This car just listed is my friggin dream car outside, inside, under hood, options and 7-speeds to manually go through. This will probably touch $400,000.

ford owned jaguar from 99-08 which actually make them pretty appealing to me. parts and maintenance are a lot cheaper with ford parts.

i watch them all just to see what kind of price range they sell for. i don’t have any particular interest in that one but agreed that driver’s seat is rough.

They were part of PAG, Ford's Premier Auto Group... Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo & Mercury. Why Mercury was included is beyond me. I got to visit their headquarters back in the day. Each marque got their own floor and unique decor. It was pretty cool. Sadly, the building is now housing Taco Bell. Ford's buying spree cost them cost them severely.

Saw a youtube where the dude peeled off the A.M. logo on the key fob and there was the Ford logo underneath! Saw another guy do that with a Volvo.

It amazes me that my Dad (Worcester MA Police) allowed me to own and drive this car when I was 17 years old in High School. Mine was pretty much identical to this, except it had a brown exterior.
I'm going to keep an eye open for one. Such a cool car IMO.

That is badass! Not sure how old you are Mark, but that generation Camaro and similar generation cars (Mopar, Grand Prix, Cougars, Torrino's, etc.) were huge with my older siblings and cousins. They all graduated high school in the mid to late 70's. My sisters boyfriend had this Camaro. I was obsessed with it.

BaT is dangerous. Makes me want to recreate my car collection over the years. I will say that I am always looking for my first BMW, a 1987 Cinnabar Red 325e 5-speed, but I would be lying if I didn't admit the 1986 IROC 5-speed I had before it doesn't tempt me as well.

When the lotteries get close to a billion, I play, and I daydream of just buying 20-30 cars off BaT as the first thing I do.

Even something like this tempts me. No reserve and will probably sell for $10,000.

That’s one of my attainable “dream cars”. Doesn’t have to be an M6. A 636csi would be really sweet to roll around in, windows down on a nice spring or fall day.

I don’t know why that one appeals to me so much vs the same era 3 & 5 series. I also like the F chassis 6 series and the current 8 series. Maybe I’m just a grand touring kind of guy.
