I went to Lowe’s a few days ago to pick up some buckets and Lysol as half my family had a nasty neurovirus. After I checked out a guy wearing camo in a wheelchair looked up at me and said Sir, I want to thank you for shopping at Lowe’s and have a nice day. He must have noticed I was stressed and took the time to cheer me up. I stopped and thanked him with a fist pump. I wish I had done more. For all of you that served, thank you.

Lowe's and Home Depot take care of us Vets.
I always thank them for it at checkout.
They've cut back on what we can get a 10% discount on, but I sure do appreciate it.

I was really amazed with his positive attitude. I support several veteran’s programs as a simple way to say thank you to all of you that don’t get nearly enough respect. I will also be going back to Lowe’s with a little thank you to MIGUEL

Your post this Memorial Day reminds me of a car show that used to be held at the nearby VA Hospital every summer. They stopped doing it for some reason a couple of years ago and I certainly miss it. It was organized by a local Corvette club and we usually got about 200 cars to show up. The great thing about it was that the VA bussed in many disabled vets and volunteers pushed them around in wheelchairs (if needed) and they got to see some great cars. The show also supplied me with one of my favorite car pictures, one of their local VA police car. Most police cars say on the side, "To Protect and Serve". This one was just a bit different. --Bob
