The problem is I have ordered carbon spoiler, carbon mirror caps, black grilles, sills and carbon diffuser.

But this bumper part has never been mentioned, does it come with the diffuser and you have to specify which one you need?

Or does the carbon diffuser fit onto the standard m sport as well??

What I don't want to happen is they fit the carbon diffuser with the standard exhaust bumper part l, then the exhaust turns up in a couple of weeks and they find they need the other bumper part. But that seems the case, I'm not going to pay for two though.
No, it sure doesn't look like that. You'll need the matt black bumper cover to fit one of the two different diffusers, in your case the CF.
Ok and those two parts fit either exhaust system?

Yes, it's only the matt black covers that has two different shapes to fit the different exhaust tips.

Sorry i just need to make sure I have this right before I mention to the dealership.

If I were having the carbon diffuser fitted today with the standard m sport exhaust I would need the bumper part DB

Then if I fitted the M Performance exhaust I would need bumper part DB'

The ISTA notes are just very general paint and paint dryer notes that any decent automotive paint shop will adhere to anyway (and probably be offended if you asked if they did)

They say provide the EBA just so the painter can see how the part would be fitted.
Again this should not really be required for a shop that is used to such type of auto parts

Thanks for that. What i'm trying to find out is whether side sills should be fully painted or just the top. On mine they have not paint the underside of the sill. Which you cannot see, so fair enough. But there is obviously a painted meets non-painted and i'm worried that might lead to peeling issues.

Well the EBA doc is the one I posted here.
The TIS one is just general notes for paint, not model or part specific.

I can see one reason for not painting the underside would be to prevent rock chips.

Hello!! Just wondering if any instructions have appeared for the exhaust and power kit yet? Now they seem to be appearing on the websites.

Hi Guys

I am thinking about getting the M performance rear diffusor for my M550. Has anyone done the installation themselves instead of taking it to a shop? I searched online and was only able to find video of the F10 diffusor installation.
My question is, is it as easy as the F10 installation? If anyone can share their experience, I will greatly appreciate it.

This is fucking ridiculous. This is my journey of becoming the pokè master of BMW G30 rear bumper covers:
  • Got bumper cover #1 out of the factory, came with the M trim.
  • Installed the M Performance exhaust, which meant I needed to purchase bumper cover #2.
  • Few weeks went by, I decided to get the rear carbon diffuser. Turns out, I need to buy bumper cover #3.
  • Turns out, #3 works just with the regular exhaust. Had to order bumper cover #4 to fit the MPE tips.

Also, the cover #2 was around 70€. Covers #3 and #4 on the other hand, which are made of cheap matte plastic with a manufacturing cost of 10€, were over 400€ each. I'm fucking fuming.

Yep it's a f'ing joke!! I was telling them this at the time but they didn't have a clue what the parts were, they should by this time be able to tell you this prior to purchasing.

Really poor at very simple things.
