I am guessing between $99,900 and $104,000 (more likely on the lower end of the range rather than higher, to give some breathing room for the eventual Competition Package), with a well-optioned model without CCBs costing about $120,000 or so.

The E63S has a MSRP of $104,900, but it also has marginally more power. I don't believe BMW will price its base model above the Mercedes, and a nicely optioned E63S comes out to about $122,000.

Bought my M5 new in 2012 for 115k fully loaded out with every option so 120k seems about right for a well optioned one coming up.

Just got the Military Sales/Diplomat price list at 102k. I have attached it. Starting 1 Nov 17. My order goes in Monday. The Military Sales customer, we will get a 10% decrease so my starting price will be $92k. Many options I want individually are not available unless I buy the ZFN packet for $18K. I want a break down of what's in this packet for that price. That's a small car price!

Used the German website and then did the Euro to USD conversion. Its gonna be expensive. Base comes in around $139,000 (USD).

Clearly there are a ton of ways to package it but I wouldn't doubt most who buy it will be near that number.

When reviewing the price list, I wonder if the M exhaust package will be an option. It looks like based on this list, it's only available with the first edition model.

Thanks..good reference. When I added the options and backed out the discount. just under $140K.

Prepare yourselves for a beast closer to $140K than $102K.

My actual HEA order is about $111k with options.

Most people won't get the $18k first edition package. Not a great value. The m driver package is useless. Ceramic brakes are $8k, not needed.

half of the things on the price list are not needed. If you want a fulled loaded car then sure go all out and pay $139K but tons of people aren't going to option their cars that way.

It is beyond me that they offer carbon ceramics for this car. The only benefit it offers is reduced brake dust. In order for them to really demonstrate their capabilities, they have to get very hot so you're not going to really notice this on the street.

The unsprung mass is always a huge advantage and even more-so this time than last generation. The specs indicate 50.7lbs (last gen i believe was 43) and it's even more of a big deal when all 4 wheels are driving power opposed to just the rear. Now to say this is worth $8500 is in the eye of the buyer.

I completely agree....Unsprung weight and rotational mass are factors. I just don't see it affecting the average M5 driver who won't be concerned in tracking it.

If it's a GT3 or something, I can see that being a consideration.
