(BROKEN FRONT DIFF) crevier bmw you rock ☺️well well… where do I start, my names Ali(29) I own a 2020 m550i. This is my second post . Recently I’ve had my expansion tank replaced due to low coolant & clear signs of coolant around the seams. Along with that 4 injectors if I’m correct (coolant leaked into them & caused rough idle apparently something like that) .

Long story short all that got replaced under cpo warranty (thank goodness) can you imagine that bill?

Anywho I heard a grinding noise from the front of the car at 30-40mph but went away after 40-42mph…. I’m assuming it’s front brakes so I take it to my service advisor he does say they are under bmw spec, so we replace those & the rotors.

I drive away & surely that noise is still there…. So I call my tech instantly he tells me to bring the car in …. Low & behold…. It’s the front differential… metal shavings found inside….. my advisor is really cool he had it checked out Monday morning & my car was ready next day noon …. He told me it would’ve been a roughly 6-7k bill but luckily Cpo covered I didn’t pay a penny . Also is it weird if I tip my advisor ? Lol I love my car
