wet grip = Pilot Sport 4 (not 4S, not 5)

people take off their 4S and semi slicks and put on PS4 when it rains on the nurburgring

+1 Been using them for almost 20 years now. Within the last 4 yrs, I went through 4 sets.Tried Pilot sport all season 4 once, my car skidded on ice, switched right back to the Conti. Best guess is I'm more tuned in to how the Conti behaves.

Seeing as you are in Scotland, I would recommend DWS06 as well. I used them in NJ where we have cold weather, snow, sleet, and rain and they never once lost grip or got me stuck in snow (2-3 inches). They lasted well beyond their 50K mile tread wear warranty to boot.

Continental Sport Contact 7 are getting really good reviews. People are starting to say better than Michelin at 2 thirds the price. Worth a look?
