Apparently having a 2018 G3x, it doesn't came with connected drive and remote services.

It seems like i have to subscribe to this connected booster package to get this to work?

1. Does anyone know if i subscribe to this, would connected drive/remote services be having unlimited period, or will have to pay every year for this. I had a 2016 F46 before and it came with unlimited connected drive/remote services period, not sure why a later model G3x doesn't even have it

2. Also, i saw some people mentioned about coding apple carplay without paying the big sum required from connected services. However would such 3rd party coding be wipe off when even i do a ISTA level upgrade during dealer servicing? Then i might as well sign up through BMW connected services for permanent fix.
