Does ECO-Pro mode turn the engine off when coasting?

I've seen a few posts here of people using ECO-PRO mode on the G30s. I tried it today and noticed when I am coasting the RPM drops like It's not shifting or anything. Once I hit the gas, the RPMs go back up. Feels like the engine shuts off when I am coasting. Not sure if it shuts off or not. Or just pops into neutral.

I turn off the Auto/Start-stop feature.

It disconnects the engine from the gearbox and so the engine idles and performs no engine breaking

That doesn't harm the engine right?

I'm getting 27 MPG with Eco-pro. Was getting 26.7 without so not much of a difference

It's a bit slow today actually and this month is slightly behind to date. But I work at a busy store, customers would be waiting for an available CA often. Definitely no need to fight who grabs a walk in lol

Why Ford though? I wouldn't be working in car sales if it's not BMW to be honest

I know the GM here

Thinking of leaving. Ford shut down the order banks. So, we can't order any cars. Everyone that comes in wants the Ford F-150 lighting, Ford Mach-E, Ford Bronco, or the Ford Maverick. All these cars we cant order.

It's super slow. We have like 18 cars out as a store. I had more cars out last month than the whole store does this month

My dream job would be to become a sales manager at BMW. I'll probably start applying after I finish school.

I had to suck it up and work at the Audi store for 6 months before getting a position here lol, they wouldn't hire someone without car sales experience at all. So far I am happy here, the percentage is good, always busy, cars are somewhat available. Will see where the car business goes over the next few years..

I've got about 2 years~ of car sales experience. A little experience in TOs (closing some of the other salesmen deals), and a little appraisal experience.

I haven't desked a deal yet. But, it seems pretty straight foward

One thing they wouldn't let sales people do at my previous Audi store is desk their deals, I hated it! Here at my BMW store they showed me how to desk deals on the first day. We do our credit applications as well. Another good thing is that we have geniuses, who do deliveries for us

I do the credit apps etc. But, we don't run the customer's credit and send it to a bank.

I've sold insurance. I've worked in the service industry. Never sold cars. Probably never will. But I think I'd enjoy selling BMWs. I'd also probably be decent selling GM trucks and SUVs. Drove them for 20 years. Great product in many ways, so so in other ways.

It's easier to sell something you truly like. I don't have to make up lies why BMW cars are better than most of their competitors

Sell something you believe in and be sure you know more about it than your customer. That's my experience, anyway!
