I’d pass regardless. Sucks but you gotta do it.

Did you mean "your guy's" or "you guys"? Because for the first, I don't know who you are directing it to (not me, I'm sure).
If it's the second, then I've owned a hardtop convertible BMW as well as some soft tops. I know you've already removed that M3 from consideration, but that seems like an awfully optimistic price for a convertible M3 that is missing a pedal.

If I was to go for that specific M3, I'd probably offer $20k~. Low miles but I doubt the body is lined up right.

I just don’t particularly like V8’s…yeah I know but I think the e9x m3 would have been ‘better’ with a straight six

I have one of those in the Discovery...hateful thing
I tried the V8 in the e39 & it was great but there was just something about it that always felt 'a bit off'. Don't know if that was the e39 or the 4.4V8 or both. At the time I owned the e39 I'd also bought a e36 328is coupe for Mrs Chappers (I liked her back then) & preferred driving that to the 540

The 2024 X5 LCI is looking pretty damn good to me.
The interior is vastly different.

The 2024 looks nice. Glad to see BMW didn't go too crazy with the grill etc. The X5 has been outselling the X3 in the US recently so it makes sense they wouldn't want to do anything too radical with it.

I haven't been tracking every page of this tread so maybe it's already been brought up.
Not looking forward to the new 5-series interior looking exactly like every new 2, 3, and 4 series. I'm pretty sure it won't match the new 7 series, even if the G3x generation had nearly the same interior as the G1x. Could this really be what the new 5 will look like? |

I didnt like the X5 stuff on the passenger dash either, but I did find it interesting that a new version of Carplay is coming out that will directly interface with the vehicle and be able to control things.
Pretty soon we will all be driving around with VR Headsets on and shifting with our eyeballs. Take the Red Pill.

Rant of the Day
OK, so, I work for an old-fashioned company and I'm expect to drive into work most days and therefore I have to deal with the great unwashed on our public streets.
In the morning it is dark when I leave for work, so most people are driving with their headlights on. Unfortunately, many of these people who cannot afford cars with the newer lighting technology such as LED or bi-xenon try to replicate their effectiveness with aftermarket bulbs. Most of the time, these aftermarket bulbs are too bright, aimed incorrectly, or both. Which means I'm driving with one hand held up to block the glare, my other hand holding my coffee and my other hand on the shifter. No wonder I can't maintain my lane... Do these people care? No. Do they know that they are blinding me? Perhaps not. Perhaps I'm just waving with one finger. Of course, it's even worse when they're in a lifted truck, so even if the lights are aimed correctly, they're too high and are pointing directly at my rear view mirror and therefore blowing out my retinas on a daily basis. In the 5 series I can raise the rear screen, which helps a little bit, but I have no such luxury in the M4. I'm tempted to tint the back window just for this, but I don't like tint. So instead, I just complain.
