Towbar on G30 with no trailer hitch prep option?

So my car does not have the "trailer hitch preparation" option Is is still possible to fit a towbar with wiring? The dealer says he needs to open up the entire car to run the trailer hitch preparation for the length of the car. I thought I'd ask the brains trust here ...
