Signed Lease on 2019 BMW 530iX Med Blue

Picking up the car this weekend, I was shopping more for a deal than shopping the car and got an insnane deal that I couldn't pass up, I currently have a 2018 320iX and a 2019 430iX was wondering how much more comfortable is the 5 series also how is the active drive assistant plus package as that's what I got, is it pretty much like Tesla's?
Any input would be great

Thanks

I have a 2018 M550i with drive assistant plus. In my opinion it is limited. The active cruise part works well but I dislike that it defaults to 4 bars, the largest following distance. I switch it to 1 bar in traffic. Also if a car slowly pulls into your lane it doesn't react and slow down as quickly as it should.

The Lane Keeping Assistant is not a true auto-pilot. It works ok but lane centering isn't perfect, especially with twisty roads. Plus faded lines, intersections, blind curves, etc can throw it off and alarm you to grab the wheel. Also you need to touch it every 30 seconds or less or it alarms anyways. Its definitely behind Tesla from everything I've read.

Lastly auto-braking works well. With three levels, a blinking light means "be ready, you're closing in on a car". a light plus a quick double beep means "brake now". A light and long beeps, it's braking for you. Just as I was pulling out of an intersection, a cyclist from the opposite direction crossed in front of me. The car alerted me and came to a quick stop. I've also had it alert me at high speeds going into a braking zone on track. I was quickly catching a slow car but ready to mash the peddle anyways....

also traffic jam assist is pretty good, I don't know what's the official engage/disengage speed but when <30mph you can literally just let it follow the whole way

Is that a separate feature or is that part of the driving plus package

For 2019 pretty sure it was part of drive assist plus, not sure about other model year

I had a 2014 3 series before my G30 5 series and it is a huge step up in terms of comfortability. I'm sure from a 2019 3/4 series it won't be as big of a step up, but it still will be quite the step up.

5 and 7 series ride quality and comfortability is on another level compared to a 3/4 series, IMO.

Yeah I was thinking the same all the reviews I saw raves about how there's like absolutely no wind noise

Any opinion on how the Med Blue looks like without MSport the only reviews I found are with the MSport hard to see if there's any without M sport in that color

I agree BUT if I could get the 3 series with the options I want, I would prefer the 3 series for better handling and smaller size.

Very true! Funny you mention that, I'm driving a 2020 3 series right now as a loner while my G30 is at the dealership getting software updated and it sure is fun to drive! Handling is quite impressive.

G20 is almost as big as G30 and curb weights, specially 540i, 530e and M340i are the same.

G20 is pretty much in the size and weight range of E39 5-Series.

Coming from an E90 to G30, the 5er feels huge.

Surprised that OP did not test drive car before buying it. I am curious to hear about this fantastic deal that he got. Well, maybe not. I'll just get jealous.

The Med blue should look fabulous, it's a great color.

I just picked up my 2019 540i. Congrats to both of us!

1000 down and 260/month?
How is this possible?
Assuming 36m lease that's under 11000 total lease cost. Considering tax, dealer fees, registration and plates, I say OP is sleeping with both devil and the dealership owner.

Kudos to you man. Good job. I see the car has some miles (demo) but still taking 24% off the MSRP is a huge win and for the lease (if you don't buy at the end) that's huge savings on a 5 series.
