The order guide is not complete. It's meant for initial dealer demo orders. There are Nov 16, Jan 17, and Mar 17 production block updates.

Organic Light (OLED) is for F90 first. Laser Light might not be offered as LED can outperform with far less complexity.

Looks good, but what's that small ///M badge doing on the side?

The new S90 looks amazing, until you get to the rear end design, which I find absolutely atrocious and looks like they ripped it off a 10 year old Lincoln. The V90 on the other hand, is gorgeous, front and back and all in between. Unfortunately it also weighs 200 lbs more than a 530i Xdrive.

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...-tested-review

The CT6 is a 7 series competitor, but I agree that it's quite the looker, until the interior comes into play. Nevertheless, I would choose it over the 7 series, with of course the obligatory massive Caddy discount.

The Panamera is in a different league. Very few people will cross shop the two. The base Panamera starts at over 50% more than a 530i. The majority of them will be in the $100k range after Porsche's nickel and diming.

The 5 series main global competitors are the A6 and E Class. Depending on market, you can throw in the Lexus G, Caddy CTS, Jag XF, Volvo S90, and maybe another Japanese/Korean model. Without having driven any of these, on paper I would think this new 5 series would be my number 1 choice.

I like it. I'm a little bit disappointed about the too much conservative design, but, overall, is a great mid size good looking sedan with a fantastic tech pack.

It's a "feature" of the European M Sport models. It's (thankfully) removed for U.S. production vehicles.

530i has 2.0l engine? WTF? Making people fool.

Overall looks cheap. Mercedes makes more and more beautiful cars, BMW the opposite.
7er interior on the photos looks beautiful but when seen live it is cheap plastic everywhere. Imitation of aluminium, switches for windows, wiper stalks etc same as in BMW 1. Doesn't stand a chance compared to Mercedes. Unfortunately with 5er it will be the same.
Audi is making again more refined interiors.
Sorry guys!
Brah, are you trolling? I'd be, if I was rolling in a GT3.

looks more like a Lexus ES or a Toyota Camry. I just can't stand how big the taillights are. It's like they knew they had to to something different from the previous 5 series rear end (which looked great), but couldn't think of anything creative. They basically enlarged the old taillights and had them wrap a damn foot around the side of the car. Can't stand the bottom of the rear bumper design either.
Other than that, the car looks good. Predictable, but good.

I'm curious as well. It seems like they may hold off in fear of having it cannibalize sales of the m550i.

For a car that is 30.3 cm longer (12 inches) and 16.5cm longer wheelbase (6.5 inches) than the 3 series, this is pretty impressive!
Interesting and thank you.

I like a lot of the design changes, minus a few (taillights, nav screen, fog lights for example). Ive got 34 months left on my lease, time to save up and hope the LCI is available at that point!

Could not agree more!! It's just boring! The technology is cool but everything else out side is just ok! MB AND AUDI are producing better looking cars imo!!

It will continue the success of F10 👍
MPPSK for 540i should have the same values as it has for 340/ 440i. There is still 100 hp difference up to M550i. I don't see why they wouldn't offer it with other Performance accessories.

Maybe this was already answered, but on the 540i, are both tailpipes being used?

Or did they pull one over, and are using a fake tailpipe for symmetry?
