I just tell myself that I am not keeping the car forever lol. I'm pretty OCD about my bathtub. The car on the other hand is driven outside, its just not something that can stay clean forever like a pair of shoes/sneakers.

One of my favorite parts of the car are the rear C pillars, something about them Then the late even sun dancing off the tanzanite after a special, weekday edition of a car wash.

What's that brown leather section in the rear pic next to the c pillar? Looks much lighter than your front seat color? Unless its just the lighting, but still quite drastic.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I use Adams Waterless Wash (different than rinseless wash) on all those painted surfaces inside the doors.

Are you able to do a drivability/performance comparison between the 550 vs the Bentley yet or have you not had enough seat time with the 550?

Both are making a metric buttload of torque and the way they get down the road does feel similar, but even in its sportiest settings the Bentley is softer and really doing its best to convey a sense luxury and refinement. The BMW feels more taught, accurate and ready to go at the slightest throttle input, characteristically German in every way. These modern Bentleys do have Audi guts, though, so it kind of comes down to how they tune the steering and suspension. I'd describe the difference being sort of like how a BMW platform turns into a Rolls Royce or perhaps an Alpina. The character of the power unit is there, just comes down to how the peripherals are implemented. First impressions with the bmw are exceedingly positive though, even better than I expected. I feel like the balance of the setup is spot on, exactly what I want to drive every day! Doesn't feel laggy or anemic in comfort mode, perfectly satisfying to drive without having to dial it up, which I really like. |

Since we're showing some toys....
2015 Viper 8.4L V10, 660 hp 615 lb/ft torque, 3300 lbs. I thought I'd show the tires. Rears 14 in wide, Fronts 10 in wide 1993 Mustang Lx 5.0. I plopped a 427 in there. 7500 rpm shift point, 630 hp, 600 lb/ft torque, 3200 lbs. |

Ah gad just messed my pants on the viper. You got sentimental value with that mustang or are you just mental and need more hp? Never been a fan.

Not quite the muscle of some of your toys, but it's my classic baby. I'll spare you the picture of my QX60 and Tiguan.

Very few people had the opportunity to do what I did back in the day. I did every combo possible in that thing because I would get bored. Naturally aspirated, multiple style superchargers, turbo, large displacement....etc. 5 engines/6 transmissions (manual). My best combo was in 2003....a 331ci with a T76 Turbonetics turbo. That thing made some steam for the time. 700 hp and 725 ft/lbs of torque. No nanny's either. I was dipping into the 9's all day long in the 1/4. It was all driver trying to put the power down....white knuckling it. You had to buy an aftermarket engine management system and program all parameters yourself or pay someone some bucks to do it. I can say I clearly understand every aspect of fuel injection. It was a lot of fun. I would get about 250 miles per set drag radials. 100 miles an hour looking in the rearview laying 2 thick black lines as far as the eye can see. Running ricer motorcycles every night on the highway. The good ol days. And the funny shit was, trying to fund all this was my inspiration to climb the corporate ladder. I needed the money to fund my addiction. I was the only executive that I knew that actually got my hands dirty. I would sit in my office brainstorming my next build, how I was going to build the end-to-end system....it would get me through the day while I was surrounded by corporate pant loads with no sense of humor or personality. They could remember every sports score though...and brag about their golfing averages. Jimmy cracked corn...and I don't care. Here was my 700hp turbo set up...sanitary looking. Take note of the garden hose sized fuel line (blue). . |
