I don't. Haven't looked into cost. I'm assuming costs are cabling and program, how much?

I think it's $35 for the license (one-time) and a Bluetooth adapter would run you $50-$60 bucks. I have a Bimmercode license, but I predominantly use ProTool. I won't push ProTool on you. If you are asking about the cost of Bimmercode, you don't want to know what ProTool costs!

Ha. Yea that's why if didn't bother looking. But under $100 isn't too bad to be able to have a little more customization.

Can you program auto start/stop to stay off through Bimmercode?

Yeah, I'm not a super coder and I don't mess with much. But it's a must have for a handful of things and then you won't use it much. Stuff like killing auto stop start, video in motion, the warning screen, 200 mph speedo etc.

It's definitely worth $100 for a lot of the stuff I mentioned. There's a bunch more obvious things I can't remember. Oh, you know when you change driving modes and it pops up on the screen? I coded that off. Passengers don't need to know when you put it in sport plus and it's right there on the cluster anyway. Custom ambient light colors are cool.

Hahaha that's funny. I know what you mean.

I'll have to add Bimmercode to my "to do" list for the 540. Going tomorrow for some light body touch up and ceramic!

This is the OBD adapter I use.
It works great. Never an issue.
You can do a lot with coding. A few threads around to help.

Great. Thanks for the link.

Also thank you because now I have a few of you to point to when the ole battle axe asks why did I buy this.

Definitely post some pics. Nothing like a ceramic coating.

Yup, that's one I had that I mentioned. Price went up! It's more than the MHD black now so I change my mind on the recommendation. The MHD wifi is really fast as wifi is multiple times faster than Bluetooth. Plus, it can be used with ProTool as well if you eventually go that route. It also has an Ethernet port if you want to plug the car into a laptop or have a remote coder. It's just far superior and I guess cheaper now!

Got mine here, $69.

I've tried 3 different wireless adapters and just bought a cable last week. Hands down it has the fastest connection when it comes to module reading/writing processes.

I use an ENET cable with Bimmercode, xHP, and BM3 on my iPad Pro w/ USB C Ethernet adapter. It's my one stop shop for all things programming related for my car. Stable and fast- plus I'm not comfortable relying on WiFi or BT when programming sensitive electronics.

No, there were from Veepeak and Vgate bluetooth and wi-fi.
What I like about the MHD is it has an Ethernet port and can double as a direct connection. That said, an ODB Ethernet cable is like $15 bucks.
