All the F30/31 LCI I've seen here has the LED, but I know for some reason many in UK doesn't upgrade the lights.

I am sincerely hoping that next gen 1 and 2 series, xenon becomes the norm with LED options (at least for the engines 120d and above so there remains a cheap entry level option for those on a budget) ...And that for everything else (3er +) LED is standard with Adaptive and Laser Light optional upgrades. |

Linked away from this topic and back. No pics found, except a Passat with kidney grills.
Will hold opinion for now.

That said, if it does end up looking like this, at least I won't be hankering after one, and can hang on to and continue to enjoy my F31!!

Judging by the new 7 styling there is NO WAY this G30 will look anywhere as good as the F10.
In terms of looks, the F10 and E39 were by far the nicest 5series ever!

Always astounds me and colleagues in Munich on how people can give a final impression based on an artists rendering which is so far from the finished article that they can judge the car from that?

I don't understand why people here are being so critical of the design. If you find the F10 to be a handsome car then you will find the G30 to be handsome as well. Unfortunately it will be a very refreshing redesign, but it will be a nice looking car nevertheless. I don't think anybody can be lazier than Audi designers...just check out the new Q5!
As I pointed out earlier, I am going to be a bit underwhelmed with the interior. The build quality and quality of materials will be impressive, but it just won't be as stylish or "wow" factor inducing as what Mercedes is pushing out these days. |

I for one like what I see, but hey, that probably means nothing now since the renders are clearly inaccurate and not at all representative of the final product, and obviously the OP has no idea what he's talking about despite having seen the car in person... |

I like it. I am not sure what you guys really expect.
These are volume cars, not limited run exotics. And I don't think it looks like a Passat either. 7 years from now I wish I would remember to come back to this post to re-read some of theses comments (when everyone will trash the H series, and reminisce how good the G30 was). |

Unfortunately I have to agree, the F01 is a good looking large sedan but the new sevener is both awkward and generic looking. I'm no fan of the F10 as a sport sedan but it's a handsome car, if the G30 has a similar exterior transformation as the sevener it will be disappointing. The huge grills are awful and the combination of a rounded upright front make the overhang look too big for an rwd car, especially a BMW. It's an awkward thing and not awkward good as the E60 which still had that BMW sporty lowslung short front overhang.

The e60 aged very well imo, these last iterations will not. They look up to date the minute they are launched, not a step forward. As Chris bangle said, same sausage, just different lengths. Thats not what style and differentiation is. And if it is, then the performance better be fucking amazing!

E65 and that bangle Z4 were just plain ugly. Best 5 was no doubt E39, even regular 530i looks perfect, and I still remember driving E39 M5, best driving sedan, everything was perfect, that no current BMW can match. I have had both E39 and F10, skipped E60 cuz too ugly. Despite all the new tech and power, the F10 can't match E39 driving dynamics.

I'm glad to hear about the Bowers and Wilkins sound system, they're my favourite brand of audio equipment. It all sounds incredibly promising so far!

LOL it's not none sense. It's a subjective notice and like me and most people I know who are into BMW's 95% agree that the E60 wasn't one of BMW's best designs. It looked awful when it came out and it hasn't aged well at all. Pretty is definitely not one of its traits.
