But one thing I've noticed is if there is some residual detergent on the towels, especially the Gauntlet, drying sucks hard. It makes sense why and I put these through a full cycle and not a quick cycle, so I need to figure out the right amount of detergent to use for the amount of towels I'm washing at once.

I use Persil since it smells nice but I'm thinking about just soaking all MFs in a bucket first with some detergent and then running a cycle with no detergent so that the whole cycle is just washing the detergent out.
I wash mine all together too on a regular full cycle. The Rags to Riches bottle has a measuring cup attached to it where you squeeze the bottle and it fills. I just fill it up.

There is nothing like brand new cloths for something like applying a coating or a drying aid. When I introduce new exterior use cloths, some of the older cloths become wheel cloths.

We're about $.20 to $.30 higher. Last fill-up a couple of days ago I paid $4.399 @ COSTCO.

You see, costco from my job Is roughly 20 min and 15 from my house. So, to save $0.40~ a month it isn't worth the extra miles imo.

I fill up like once a month so It doesn't bother me much

We go regularly and since I'm retired, I don't drive much anyway. Around here, COSTCO is $.60-$.90 per cheaper. That's at least $8.50 a tank cheaper.

My mom goes often. So she'll just fill up whatever car needs gas (usually the minivan since that gets driven more).

I just go to whatever gas stations has the cheapest gas by my job

Take it out in the snow, slush, grime and salt. It’ll be fun.

Do you crank it up and go around the block every week or so? Won’t the seals and stuff dry rot if it just sits?

Nah, 3-4 months isn’t going to do that. I also spend time conditioning up any seals I can get Perl on. Gives me something to do. I should probably start it up though.

Removed front number plate and filled in the drill holes. Also painted the side vents carbon black (blue) they were cerium grey but I prefer the stealth look.

Mirrors and grill next.

I would also run the trans. through all the gears once or twice a month (Go from park to reverse and keep the trans in reverse for a little bit. Then, reverse to drive and keep the trans in drive for a little bit). Just to get the fluid flowing.

That's what I did during covid when I didn't drive the E90 and it sat in the garage for 3-5 months.

How does it look? Half the ones I see online have front plates. Can’t decide if I’d fill them or just get a decorative plate from my alma mater and leave it as is.

Gave the X5 a bath. Finished it off with Bead Maker. I’ll tell you, one thing about a white car is that if I missed a spot, I’ll never know it. On my CBM M550, it’s a two cloth job making sure there are no streaks or product residue.

Anyone using a cheapo Sun Joe pressure washer have any suggestion for "mods" for it? I saw some longer hoses on Amazon and also the shorter handle/gun so I'm not using the 1.5 foot nozzle and then attaching a heavy foam cannon to the end of it. I just don't know the reliability of those parts since they aren't sold by Sun Joe. Not that SJ is the pinnacle of quality either but before I invest in about $50 worth of hoses and other parts on a $70 washer, I just wanted to see if someone has upgraded some parts on their SJ washer that made things easier.

I bought whatever highly rated snub gun and longer “kink less” hose. Been working fine for the last 5months. Cheapish priced stuff so I really didn’t rack my brain about it. I’d like to get a spool to roll the hose on but I don’t want to mount it on the wall. One of the sunjoe models has it but it’s not adaptable to mine.

I bought an SJ on Amazon after my original crapped out and needed one in short order. I purchased an extension hose and quick connect but replaced the stock gun & wand with a Mosmatic set up that I already had. It does what it should do for around the house stuff (decks, driveway), and handles the Adams deionizer I connect it to for the cars. It's not the best out there but for the price it's hard to beat.
