Based on the season and the playoffs I think there is a high probability that Vegas will take the cup. Really, no one has been able to dominate them. So far there playoff record is 12-3...that's crazy..they have lost in three rounds what many teams lose in one round.

I was thinking at the beginning of the playoffs that Tampa would be in the finals for sure--and they might be--but they sure have not been a dominating team in getting there.

Glad the Sharks were their toughest opponent so far.

I'm still shocked at how easily they dispatched the Jets. I was not expecting that at all. The only concern I'd have for LV is that the long rest in the playoffs can sometimes be a detriment, I've seen it happen before.

Yeah, man I agree as well--a bunch of guys who were on teams that didn't care enough for them and play their hearts out every game....this is the point. They don't have any stars (save Fleury) but it comes down to playing 100% every day.

It's hard to play the best every day and when other teams do they will beat Vegas, but Vegas plays 100% more than 9 out of ten games and in this league when you do that you win.

As a lightning fan this is a painful game to watch. All the possession, great passes and shots in the world for naught if the puck doesn't go into the net.

I wasn't expecting to have to wait until MONDAY for the first game. Now the rust is settling in in Vegas.

I was at game 7 last night. The building before the game was tense and electric (no pun intended) like nothing I have ever experienced. As soon as Ovi scored, it was like someone popped a balloon and ALL of the energy that was in that building was gone. From that point on the Caps contingent (team, fans, everyone) took over and it felt like we owned that building. There were way more Caps fans there last night than what I normally see during a regular season game, maybe double what it usually is. I'm a lifelong fan, I got into the Capitals right when they started making the playoffs regularly so I have literally watched every single playoff failure including the Easter Epic and the '98 sweep. If ever there was a Caps roster that I felt had a legitimate shot, it's this one. I'm still pessimistic because Caps.
