Sorry first post on the forum so don't roast me to badly. Was curious if anyone with a new 2018 model 530 or 540 has had the same issues I see posted about the 2017 version. Have they fixed some of the AC/rice crispy sounds and other issue people have posted about. Still waiting for delivery of mine so wanted to know what to expect.

I had the new speaker grill installed, it still cracks, but not as loud. Hoping as car gets older, the crackling will go away permanently. My newest problem is Seat Belt Warning keeps coming on, going in on Wednesday. Despite these problems, the car is amazing and you will love the way it drives.

my 2018 540i xdrive arrived at the dealer last week. i haven't accepted the delivery due to some pricing disagreements, but yea, i can confirm the AC sucks and the cracking noise is still there. AC is no where near as good as what my Audi A6 had, but it's a compromise i think i can live with.

i don't know if this makes a difference, but i did not get the fake leather dashboard upgrade. i forgot what the option is called.

that doesn't effect the snap crackle pop noise. I survived a summer with the car, it's not the best ac but I got through it. Once you learn how to properly set the ac, do not put center adjustment all the way to cold, keep it close to the middle, vents blow better.
