A few years ago, on my second, I sideswiped a pole in a parking garage, grazed it so lightly that I didn't even realize what happened until it was too late. Close to $2000 in damage though it was mostly superficial, more than it'd have cost to have 360 cameras. Perhaps my mind was preoccupied with work. I misjudged the turning radius of my car ever so slightly. I say it could've happened to anyone. My car was not the pole in question's first victim. That's what the nannies are about. We're all human, they help to reduce the margin of human error.

Neusser holy shit I can’t believe how much pleasure you get from pissing in the punch bowl.
None of us needs anything about these cars, including the cars. We could drive much more cost efficient cars and get where we need to be. That includes you. The Parking Assistance Pro package is the only way to get 360 cameras. These are also used to see what’s around your car when you’re not there. That’s comforting to some. I’ve also used them when I’m parked and just want a full 360 view of what’s around my car, because the world is harsh and people get car jacked in American metro areas like they’re handing out candy. It’s also not all about parking. I live in a neighborhood with tons of kids playing. I have two little boys. When I back out, my fence and retaining wall hide the west side of my driveway and the cameras give me a little better view than I can get in my mirrors. I could give a half a rats ass if the car parks itself and I park cars without cameras just fine. But I get practical use out of the cameras every day, and not just from the convenience it affords when I park. It’s an option I feel is worth it. If you don’t, then don’t get it. THAT IS WHY IT IS CALLED A GOSHDAMN OPTION. Jeez man, get a grip and respect that not everyone wants what you want out of the car and options. And the whole “more stuff to break” is technically true but I could say that about anything. It sounds like you should be driving a more practical economy brand and model. BUT none of this will matter because you really just like being a trolling pain in the ass.

I pointed out that the base pack has 360 sensors, a back-up camera with guidelines, and self-parking. I know because I have it. I don't find the upgraded pack "game changing," as the standard pack provides everything that even your grandfather might require to park, even here in the deepest tightest enclaves of the tiniest Dorf in the Alpine old country. Then one of our seemingly more sensitive members had an issue with me saying one "should not be driving" if one cannot park a 5er with all of these features turned on. He painted himself into a corner, and that was that. I admit, I did enjoy it near the end, as some folks let their emotions put them in a situation from which it is difficult to walk back. As always: You should buy what you like. Don't let me or my nasty old opinions dissuade you or get you down. |

You are literally the only bad apple we have on this board that we all have contributed to it being a respectful community. And no, don’t ask me to point out or quote your bullshit. You’re just a dick. Yes, I’m name calling, the shoe fits. Take your snarky wisdom and know it all attitude to a Facebook group. It’s perfect for that where people just want to incite and fight.

If you had stopped at that, it'd be all good. Then you began your drivel and offering your baseless opinions on what people should or shouldn't do. You seem to think you win these arguments but all you do is dig a deeper hole the more you talk. Not just this one, but every one of these childish posts you've had in multiple threads. As I said before, who do you think you're fooling here? No one but yourself.

Now if EVERYONE blocked him, it would be like he isn't here, hmmmm... We are mature adults here for the most part. If you have to "ignore" someone, there is a problem. This isn't Facebook, we aren't here to get trolled and block people.

IMHO, the biggest problem is he has about 1% useful information and 99% condescending judgmentalism. It's getting tough to wade through the rubbish to get to anything possibly useful.

Pretty sure he is moving on from both and taking our advice to be patient and get 90% of what you want, including a few less miles than #2.

And that's what's really frustrating. Many threads he comments on result in some sort of spat because of caustic, off-topic, petty comments and the thread turns into a pile of rubbish that does a disservice to the OP and becomes useless for anyone visiting it for useful information. That is why I have used the "ignore" feature for months, but like many others, finally decide to speak out and I tried my best to do it in a thread with minimal collateral damage where the OP's question was largely answered and he has moved on to wait and find another car that suits his preferences.

I'd prefer lower miles...
then again, I ordered my 2022 M550i with no options other than the alcantara headliner and heated steering wheel.

That’s an outlier and an anomaly. You pretty much have to order a car that unique, because they don’t build M550’s like that because the dealer would have a tough time selling it and the owner would have a tough time reselling it. Buyers of M550’s like options.

You’ve rubbed most of us up the wrong way at one time or another with a fair few of your posts/comments, and tbf the G30 forum has the most tolerant, likeable, amusing & helpful bunch of ‘car guys’ that you’ll be likely to find on a car forum. It’s your loss mate if you just wanna come on here & take the piss

But yes you're right, price for clarification was $60K for the 10K mile one and $56K for the 44K mile + loaded one. |
