Alpina B5 Based on G30 5 Series Undergoes Testing
BIMMERPOST NEWS Alpina B5 Based on G30 5 Series Undergoes Testing The all new G30 5-Series based Alpina B5 sedan has been spied during tests on the Nürburgring where it was running some very quick laps. Power will come from Alpina's version of the BMW 4.4L V8 twin-turbo and should top 600 hp (current F10 based B5 features 600hp / 590lb-ft). Like the current B5, it will also feature Alpina customized suspension, aero kit and interior. |

I wish they would consider a little more power but I guess it wouldn't make sense for the B5 to one up the B6

Will rarely see an OEM with a lip anymore. Not worth the headache, especially for a company like Alpina that doesn't have multi-billion euro development resources.

I think they are testing various tire size combos. Perhaps the test car was put into a "soft" shock setting for testing purposes.

The new Bilstein EDC Struts with Predictive Function give an unnatural feeling in cornering when they're allowed maximum adaptations. The baseline test is to run the car without interaction. This gives the natural tactile feeling for reference in calibrating the functional values. |

Their treatment is always the same to any model, I can already picture how it looks. And the wheel design is old now, let along its a pain to clean and super soft to bend :/

As long as Clinton clinches the win, TTIP and UN Global Vehicle Regulatory Standards will be finalized and fully integrated by Oct 2017. So if a model is available in Europe, or even a substantially similar model to one desired, that won't be an issue. Hello single style code standard...No more SAE/ECE but UNL and UNR.
And shows just how good the new dampers are. Maybe a ton-ton and half less. If it's enormous, so is the F10, and F06 is gigantic |
