The shape looks exactly the same as the last gen to me. It will be exciting when they reveal it to see exactly what they changed. Until then I will await the renderings!

Updated March 22, 2016 with new photos
The F90 M5 has been spotted conducting further testing, with less front end camouflage than before. The large air intakes are now visible in the lower front fascia.

lower weight. same engine that is already pushing 600hp from the factory. xdrive. aimed to be the best in its segment. um what's not to like here. just hope it looks good.

So is the F90 Chassis Code officially official? I'm wondering why it is not getting a G8x or G9x chassis code instead.
Also judging by the picture in the parking space, it already looks like a big car. I'm not a fan of getting into an even bigger car than the F10. I'm more interested to see where BMW and M take the next M6 since they've claimed in the past they want it to be more of a 911 fighter.

Pretty excited to see what the next-generation 5er is going to be considering what Mercedes has shown with the new E-Class. BMW has a lot of work to do. The F10 still looks good but dated when compared to the new E-Class. If the next-generation 5er decides to take BMW's traditional approach where it's more evolutionary than revolutionary, it's going to be a long life cycle in the most negative way.

Why is the M5 referred to as F90 while all other next-gen 5ers are G30s? Is it possibly a different chassis?
