I love my 3 series wagon. The Volvo has come a long way, this is probably their best design (the sedan looks better, and I am pained to say so).

The Mercede looks off from the rear side view to me, I think it is the side back window? I never liked that on the R series....

I think the Mercedes is the only one coming to the US so not much choice there!

Thanks for posting.

Mercedes and Volvo both sell their E-Class Wagon and V90 here. Bmw use to have the 5 serie and the 3 serie touring . They already pulled the plug on the 5er Touring and in 2019 they will pull the on the 3er Touring in North America. They want us to buy X3 and X5 instead. GMC found out back in 2007-2008 that you can't tell your customers what to buy but instead you must provide them the product they want. It is also strange that Mercedes now has 2 Wagon offering, Volvo has 2, Audi 1, Buick 1, Volkswagen 1 but their is no market according to BMW. That made quite a lot of marketing people wrong.

I'd buy the 5 wagon any day. It's beautiful and practical, so tragic it's not in the US

I also lament no BMW 5-series wagon in the USA. I DD a 2003 E39 525i wagon now.

I'm going against the family, and I have ordered a V90 in R-Design. Reading says the Polestar optimization (computer reflash installed by dealer) does quite a bit to wake-up the shifting. We shall see...

Not a wagon, but we love my wife's Volvo XC60 R-Design...thing pulls like a beast (325 HP) and in my opinion (in R-Design trim), is the best looking SUV in its class. Volvo is penning some beautiful automobiles currently.

p.s. The hydraulic steering is twice as good as my 335i (not the handling, the steering...).

Maybe if BMW didn't price the 5er wagon $10k more than an equivalently equipped X5 they would sell more.

Same with the 3er/X3.

Please option adaptive ICON Led light for all your G30/G31. Not because I have it (my car is only 4 pots anyway) but because all the G30/G31 I have seen without it just don't have that wow factors from afar (regarding the front view). Please don't be offended

You may be on to the real issue, X models are "too cheap" in the US. Over here in the UK, X5 is more expensive than the 5-series wagon, by about 10% for the same engine and including xDrive.

Same for the X3, more expensive than the F31 wagon.
