My bro was at the ring a few days ago, sent me a few pics of the M2

The other 2 pics, they also had a wreck which canceled his 3/4 laps

What are people's realistic weight expectations? The E60 M5 was just above 4000 lbs (curb weight) vs. the F10 at 4300 lbs. Assuming BMW Carbon Core, add in the bump in HP and TQ, if the G90 can come in around 4100 lbs, I think it's a win. I don't care how much weight the Audi or Mercedes may or may not lose, the E60 was a great car at its weight so I'm thinking if the G90 M5 can come in around there, it should be a home run.

Interesting, because BMW lists JF91 as F90

I really love the overall outline of it. Is it me or does it look smaller. I like the size of it.

Better than a panamera??? Bold claim from a company that is yet to produce a decent eps and weight reductions to its cars. The new 7 shed 100kg? The new A4, a car allready lighter than the 7 shed as much if not more kgs.
You're absolutely right about the A4 being lighter than the 7 series. And the 3 series is lighter than the A8. Oh wait they are not in the same class so why am I comparing apples and oranges?

Never mind that was silly :

Thumbs up AWD M xDrive about time!

AWD M xDrive about time!

I hope M xDrive will make it to all the new M's, especially the M3 and M4. And if you guys want just RWD then that can be your option.

I thought it would have a CF roof?

Seriously, that front photo derailed this thread!

that rear fender flare has me more interested. I want to know whats behind that camo!!! We've been hinted that there might be an intake, that would be very interesting and would make up for the lack of a carbon fiber roof.

I hate that BMW's new design philosophy includes those exposed kidney grills connecting to the headlights. It would look so much nicer and classier if they just kept it separate like they've done for decades.

I hate AWD, it's going to make the M5 even more heavier

Wishlist time...

Here's the time when I make fantasy wishes for things I would like for new M5:
1. 200 Kg less on the curb weight compared to F10
2. An e-diff that can handel the power and give good traction off the line and in cornering
3. A power/torque delivery solution similar to what Ferrrari have done with their turbo cars
4. Stardard brakes that work beyond 2 laps.
5. Exhaust and induction noises that sound like an M car not diesel
6. Launch control that does need a pre-flight checklist to activate
7. Bring back the Satin chrome finish as option

Come on Scott, spill some info about the powertrain!

Twin Turbo V8, or e-drive? Or maybe a low displacement V10?
