Car is camouflaged and you don't like it?
This sounds familiar. I remember the threads about the G11 7 series where they said the same thing until the reveal. Wait a minute this happened with the last 5 series and the last 7 series also. Hmmm this is just a re-occurring dream.

You should ask the owners here at Bimmerpost as they have their own dedicated forum. They are popular in other global markets also. The 3er GT is immensely popular in Europe where entry segment hatchbacks sell. Globally 3er GT has exceeded its initial projected 10% of total 3er units it sells around 22%.

3 Series Touring looks and drive better than the 3 GT which doesn't provide anything more beyond its design attribute as a "Gran Turismo" Coupe version of X5 and GranCoupe verion of the 6/4 Series are working, but this GT thing is not at least for now If you are telling me that BMW is making money from this, they must re-innovate the whole "Gran Turismo" line!

Edit: Looking at the render which Scott posted, I see potential in the design, looks pretty good. But the real question is if the final car will look this sporty. Let's hope. |

People the don't "get" the GT need to stop worrying about it. I was really surprised by how many I saw on recent road trips to Holland and Belgium. I've actually grown to quite like the 5GT and it is more practical than the Tourer (more luggage space AND more passenger *******. The 3GT I am tempted by but the hoffmeister kink looks terrible, the front end of the M-sport 3GT is better than the F30/F31 IMO. Add to that the fact that Tourers are SO common the GT offers something a little more unique, or exclusive.

Now just offer one version of it fully electric and take my money! (I don't care if there are 20 other diesel, gasoline and hybrid versions) |

It's mostly going to be deja vu but the rear looks different , better and more dynamic , expect it to be a bit longer than f11 , mind you that the 5 seires is now very close to 5 meters in length , thats insane why are they increasing the size over and over again , is it because of other models that slide in between 1 3 and 5 series?..yeah obviously that's the case , which means the new 6er GC is gonna be longer as well , take a look at the current x3 , it's almost as big as the fisrt x5..crazy

Seems like the GT phobes are alive and well here. It's hysterical how a community that thinks itself "enthusiasts" is so shallowly obsessed with sheet metal. Those that have the GT know it's both an awesome and sporty SUV and road cruising machine. This touring screams ghost busters and Family Vacation to me but to each his own.

Lower COG, better dynamic, probably a lower weight, a better look and a suv alternative for the driver who don't like them. A bit off topic but is bmw going to bring any b47 or b57 in North America?
