If they are anything like the 7 series it will be good a big improvement over the F10 LED's which suck IMHO.

Agree. The ways adaptive features work on F32/F30 are not really great either as they only switch the left/right full beam on and off for incoming cars instead of tracking all the incoming cars individually like Matrix and Multibeam work.

Oh you are talking about the Anti-dazzle High beams? They are turned off for the US market but I seen them work in Europe and there awesome.

And then there is Adaptive LED lights, which are much cleverer than anti-dazzle... I understand they split the beam to avoid blinding oncoming or vehicles in front... and shine a beam around corners High Beam Assist: High Beam assist changes teh pattern of High Beam to avoid dazzling others, yes... however is not as sophisticated as Adaptive LED *I appreciate you are replying to P1 PET... that feature is I think the High Beam Assist (Anti Dazzle in effect)... so more accurately I think P1 PET is not referring to Adaptive LED Headlights

I'm just going to put this here, because I haven't seen it anywhere else (not even on bmwusa.com!):
U.S. Fuel Economy 530i 24 city / 34 highway / 27 combined mpg 530i xDrive 23 city / 33 highway / 27 combined mpg 540i 20 city / 30 highway / 24 combined mpg 540i xDrive 20 city / 29 highway / 23 combined mpg ----------------------- FWIW, my 9 year-old 2008 535xi weighs just a little less than the 540i xDrive and I regularly see 24 mpg in combined (mostly suburbs) driving. It's a shame BMW isn't really moving the needle MPG-wise on these cars. But yes, we do get more BHP for it. |
