So why not just wait? You’ve already taken all the depreciation hit on your 2018. Your chances of getting a loaded M550 will be better with 2022-2023 as the supply chains smoothed out over that time. They’re still making M850’s and the world won’t run out of them.

I thought I wanted to go from 2020 M550 to an LCI M550. I’ve pretty much trashed that idea. Makes no sense. My car has DHP, Bowers, and has the soft close doors you mentioned. And I love my color and it’s not easily found in either LCI or pre LCI. I only have 37k miles and can extend my warranty with Route 66 for like $3k.

I either want to go to an F90 or an M850GC. I would have a similar budget as you if I bought something today. That ain’t gettin it done for the cars I’d want. So I’ll just wait another year when I have more cash and the cars I want have more time to depreciate more.

And, like I said before, even more 2022-2023 M550’s will be around and also further depreciated.

I can’t judge anyone for the new car itch. Many here know I can get pretty sold on something new. So I get it. Just seems to me like it only serves your interests to give it another 6-12 months. Maybe 12-18.
