I regained sanity and dumped my Jeep and bought a used X7 40i. Jeep "comfort" seats hurt my back on our 3k mile road trip so that was a surprise and disappointment. Also, the driving dynamics were shit (knew that), but the way the transmission shifts was just mystifying. It would hang at 5k rpm and not shift down to the next gear (4.2k rpm) on mountain passes at a steady speed. Weird.

Also, pro tip, if you fill up with gas, park the car at your hotel overnight, and the next morning (36 deg F in Durango, CO -- ride the train, it's fun) it is running like crap and the trans won't shift normally, immediately suspect bad gas. Ask me how I know. Fortunately, I had a rudimentary scanner with me and saw the pending misfire codes. A bottle of HEET later and I was good to go. It was like a switch was turned after a couple of miles.

X7 has HUD, Parking Assist, Driving Assistant Pro, Exec, and CWP.

I always use Shell gas but figured I could use a quick dose of Techron now that the seasons have changed and gas stations are switching their blends for the summer.

Could be placebo, but my Q7 feels zippier. No hesitation when needing to pass. It's the 3.0T model, so the SC V6, no the turbo 4.

I don't think I've ever used it on the M550, though.

Looks like they're leaning into the Lexus wide mouth design. Thoughts?

The M5 guys seem to mostly like it, but several bad thoughts on the license plate location. I agree with that. It looks too cartoonish.
