New G30...planning first mod(s)

So I signed for my new 540i tonight, taking delivery tomorrow after final dealer prep and tint is installed. Bluestone w/ Ivory, Poplar Gray, M-Sport and some other options. Pics will come after I pick it up tomorrow night.

But already bouncing ideas about the first mods.

First of all, thinking about spacers. I don't yet know what the bolt pattern and hub sizes are, so if anyone has that info yet, please pass along. I don't think it needs much, maybe 10mm rear, 5mm front.

Secondly, I'm not a big fan of the exhaust tips on the M-Sport. Would prefer dual round tips. I also don't know if these tips are even removable without cutting through the pipe. Any thoughts or known replacements out there?

Lastly, thinking about potential to wrap the blacked out section around the lower DRL, side vents and even side mirrors to some sort of silver/aluminum finish. Much like the images of the upcoming M550xi. Need to check around town and see what options exist. I could do the vents and side mirrors myself, but a pro will always be better and that front section on the corners looks tricky. I also need to take a closer look when I get it back in my garage tomorrow.

Interested to hear feedback and ideas, much less any small mods that have already been done.

The sad part of this story: trading my 2016 X5M. I just got tired of the payments, constant stops at the gas pump, rough ride with tons of road noise and 2-3 sets of tires a year: I drive it like its a 911 . But it's the last point that is the most important: it's going to put me in jail as it just baits me into hammering down the road no matter where I'm going. Guess I'm just getting old, so needed something a little more tame but still fun. I sure will miss the Beast, glad to have had the chance to own one for a while.

Wow, what a sad transition.
Here are the information that I have on the spacer.
Bolt pattern is 5x112 with 66.5CB.
But what spacer thickness that will fit, you will need to measure the hub thickness.

Thanks for the data points. Good point on the hub thickness to determine the correct length for the bolts. How is best way to measure that?

Well sad in that I enjoyed the X5M, but after driving a bunch of cars, I kept coming back to the 540 as what best fit the need. I'm really looking forward to picking it up today, but having the Racechip harness removed first

Here is how to measure the hub thickness.
Once you know what spacer thickness that you need, then I can help you on the lug bolts length.

Can you post pics of the interior when you get a chance? Looking to personally get Ivory w/ Poplar Gray trim, so would be great to see it outside the configurator.

2 to 3 sets of tires a year??? Really? I had a Porsche that would waste a set of Pirelli P-zeros in 10,000 miles, but 3 sets a year seems ridiculous.

Picked it up today and played around with it for an hour or so. Only put 7 mi on it tonight, but have a nice little drive to the burbs tomorrow evening. Also answered a question or two.

First of all, no changing the exhaust tips, they're welded on. Also noticed that the passenger side exhaust has a flap, so I assume it only opens either in Sport Mode or at higher revs...so some investigation is in order.

Also, after some research, it also appears as though I'll be able to have my Racechip from the X5M reprogrammed to support the 540i in a few weeks time. I'm sure it will require a new harness as well, so more to come.

As for the pics, I took a few real quick from the alley, so professional quality these are not. Will try to get more at a later time. Not sure you can make out the Poplar real well because of the reflections.

Well, one set replaced about 5k miles in due to nails, but wore thru the other 2 on my own. That's what happens when you drive it like that every day
