I have the Pirelli 18" RF and no punctures/damage so far (knock wood). My previous 330e had Goodyear RF's and had two punctures in 3 yrs. one was repairable and one not. Since it was a lease, I had to replace with another Goodyear RF at--Discount Tire (which repaired one puncture). My strategy for the 530e (Owned, not leased) is to repair, if possible. If not repairable, replace with a pair with Michelins on one axle and save the other RF for the next non-repairable puncture. Get the final two Michelins if a third non-repairable RF puncture. Note I am treating three non-repairable RF flats as completely credible. RF's are the spawn of the devil. I'd get a donut spare, if one were available--probably should look at boneyards, but BMW shift in wheel circle means these are much less available.

The run-flats are brand new from the dealer (the 540 is CPO), but they're getting ditched ASAP for all-season tires.

Thanks for the insight in this thread folks.
'21 here on 19" Goodyear RFTs in Chicago. 18K miles, already replaced 6 tires and had 4 rims straightened. Switched to Continental RFTs per dealer recommendation to reduce the sidewall bubbles. Glad to have gotten the wheel and tire warranty.

Thanks for all the info now I wonder why there's 4 tires mounts in only 15k miles. Gonna get summer tires now.
