First, good to see you back here! I did the following in Bimmercode on my 2022 X5 and 2021 M550: 3530 LaMaster1 > LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_Y > AFS > enable 3530 LaMaster1 > C_FLC_ENA > enable [was already enabled] 3531 LaMaster2 > c_AFS_ENA > enable 3532 LaMaster3 > c_HBA_ENA > enable [was already enabled] 3532 LaMaster3 > c_HBA_GFHB_ENA > enable To my eye, it seems to be working just like the coding you had done on my 2018 540. Am I missing something? Thanks. |

Friend of mine asked me for help with his 2017 G30 that was in front collision. He had standard LED's (O O), but now he bought ICON lights.
Was hoping that simple 552 VO coding to both FLM's and BDC will do it, but guess what ? Lights go crazy and on auto, 0 they light up every light source avaialble on the lamp. On daylights they turn off. ISTA teach in seems to work fine and return no errors after ABL, nevertheless FLM's report some issues with some inner/outter connection and fan. Should the coding be diffrent if car is equipeed with 5AT ? My 2018 540 has "Adaptive LED" headlights and the lights shine brighter in the direction that I'm turning.
Is this not the same thing y'all are talking about? This what is on the original window sticker:

It requires coding and/or flashing as well as ISTA+ initialization. |

This thread is informative in another way: it seems that BMW has stymied its customers in North America. I have a 2018 Luxury Line series 540d xdrive with lights that read "BWM Adaptive LED". When DOT recently allowed adaptive headlights on US cars, I thought that some coding might would make my car's OEM lights to come to life. But from reading the postings, there is a required hardware change costing a fortune and then programing at a couple of levels.
The previous 5 Series generation arrived with rear fog lights at the rear, but here in the US the car did not include the button needed to activate these lights in the lighting switch assembly. By switching it with a Euro version for about $180, the rear fogs function as intended - complete with the indicators on the dash. The generation prior to F10, was even cheaper to get the rear fogs working. While not an exact parallel, when 3G was cancelled, my F25 and former F10 lost many of its online-related features. BMW's response was to walk away claiming that the proper onboard electronics could not be retro fitted and to buy a newer model instead. Like the adaptive headlight issue, BMW intends its customers to just buy a new vehicle (from them) with working adaptive headlights. Not a customer-friendly attitude. |

While these BMW upgrades and gift cards may have been offered for some models, I'd be very interested in one for my F25 (X3). If a 4G upgrade is available for the F25 I'd be very surprised since there has been much written in that forum lamenting the loss of services when 3G went away. As for my BMW gift cards, mine must have been lost in the mail. The only thing remotely like a gift was BMW offering free connect services for a few months pending the cessation of 3G services. If I am mistaken, please, by all means, direct me to an office within BMW who knows about these upgrades.

I looked at an F10 before I got my G30. I was told there was no upgrade available for the 3g in that car.
