It loses so much in dark colors. Silver/light gray seems the way to go

All I can says is that the new M5 will look very sweet!

The interior and new tech gadgets are pretty sweet, but I can't say I'm in love with the exterior. Best part about the exterior is the hood, which obviously isn't saying much.

Looking forward to the M5 so I can start shopping for the F10 version 😈

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I find black to be very sleek and lighter colors like greys and silver to be incredibly bland.

Personally when I got the E90, the dealer had an identical car to mine that was silver on black....it was so meh. The showroom had a beautiful black/terracotta that cost more but I fell in love with it. Still looks mint to this day.

Even better, we're no longer in Ford Model T times!

Brilliant. The more I see this thing the more I'm liking it - can't wait to see it in person. As someone that owns both a Merc and Bimmer, I don't think the new E-class stands a chance against this thing. Merc's melting jelly bean design language got old really fast. At least the old E63 had a distinctive look, had an advantage with AWD and sounded a LOT better with it's M156 and M157 engines. But with AWD the new M5 should slaughter the new E63 in all departments and sound won't be a factor either considering that the new 4.0 AMG V8 sounds a lot more like a 'generic' V8 than its predecessors.

It's insane how now a 530d which has 265 PS and 620 Nm of torque uses as little fuel as my 2012 320d. How have they made so much progress in just 4 years.
Note: the engine in my E91 is the exact same which has been used in the F30 3er until its recent facelift, so it really is 4 years' progress.

0-60 faster than the current M5.
And probably faster than the next-gen M5 unless the next-gen M5 has AWD.
Pure physics.

Shadowline option is available (and seen in other pictures) and M Performance front grill will take care of the last bit

that's kind of the point, the e39, e60, and f10 - if you got sports pkg and/or msport you got shadow line trim by default. it shouldn't be an option. and the new active grilles will make changing out the vomitous chrome grille a more difficult job. first thing I do when I've gotten all my 5ers was remove any and all traces of chrome. if someone wants chrome send them to the Cadillac dealer
