I know why they left the flash off on the previous generations, but for them to continue to is just them cutting costs now.... in my opinion
the shutter lag is a huge benefit, I remember switching from my T1i to my 5DmkII and then to my 7D and seeing major differences each time. At this point i'm so used to the 2 that I don't really notice the difference as much anymore, but any improvement is good improvement in that category.
A moment can sometimes only be an instant, so you better capture it when it happens. And almost instant shutter is the best way to get it.
I'll keep an eye on the reviews before looking into this thing further. It's very tempting as is, but I would be upgrading for the sake of upgrading, and that's not really a good reason. If this think blows the mkII out of the water for dynamic range and noise reduction, then I will likely be going for it. The fast auto focus is just the cherry on top.
