I dont really understand this paragraph but i can see that you're confused some how. This oil catch can works the same way as your oil catch can in the link. Its just allowing the oil to drop out of suspension in the air and collect in the can due to a drop in velocity when traveling through the can. Note: This catches oil in the crankcase gases and won't help with the carbon buildup really at all...
