I tried ASD on and off on my X5M and prefer it on as well with my stock exhaust. Modern luxury cars are just too well isolated to prevent road noise from coming in to offer any real engine noise. With ASD off you lose out one crucial piece that makes up driving excitement for me.
Now with my Eisenmann Race exhaust that fixed everything because its a super loud system so I turned ASD off. |
What he said, we coded my F80 off and it was suuuuuper quiet, kinda annoys me that even the sportiest platform is so isolated. Buddy has an f80 and the MPE, even with it, the car was still super quiet. The active sound is a decent feature on these.
