Mercedes is in trouble against bmw vis a vis the 5 series.
What's interesting is the role reversal we have seen over the last two generations. Mercedes is aiming at enthusiasts with their other segments and bmw is aiming away. It's interesting to see if they hit their targets.
But back to 5 series vs e class, if mercedes pushes autonomous tech they can come out on top, otherwise the 5 series will leave them head scratching.
