Don't shoot me - but I'm not a Sid Barrett fan - I think Gilmour made the band what it is.
I had never given Animals a chance til ~ 20 years ago. Dogs is probably one of my favorite tunes now. If you're older like me, maybe you remember WKRP in Cincinnati - they had a scene about this song and Arthur Carelsson commenting on how nice the dogs were barking... Great TV show of my childhood
The Final Cut was big with me in HS - didn't realize til recently that Wright was not on that album...which explains why they never did any songs off that album in the later years.
