2020 M550i...how much faster will it really be?
Car & Driver finally posted updated 2020 750i xDrive times, please see below compared to the 2016 750i xDrive.
2016 Model
C/D TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 60 mph: 4.4 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 10.1 sec
Zero to 150 mph: 25.3 sec
Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 5.2 sec
Top gear, 30-50 mph: 2.7 sec
Top gear, 50-70 mph: 3.4 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 12.8 sec @ 112 mph
2020 Model
C/D TEST RESULTS
Zero to 60 mph: 4.0 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 9.6 sec
Zero to 120 mph: 14.0 sec
Rolling start, 5–60 mph: 5.2 sec
Top gear, 30–50 mph: 2.7 sec
Top gear, 50–70 mph: 3.2 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 12.5 sec @ 113 mph
.04 quicker to 60, but .03 quicker in the 1/4 mile and only 1 mph faster trap speed, which is a bit surprising.
The 2020 750i, along with the M550i will share the shorter 1-3 gears similar to the M850i, which probably explains why the 0-60 is considerably quicker, but we don't really see much of an improvement in the trap speed.
Really anxious to see, as some users with dragy are posting some very quick speeds with the M850i..so confusion at this point is at an all time high - maybe for whatever reason the M850i will be faster than the M550i?
