Posted this in another thread. The directions in the link are excellent; I was able to simply tuck the tap cord under the moldings without removing them.
VirtualGuitars is right. I did that using a fuse tap bought on Amazon with a 10 ft. cord (
https://www.amazon.com/Detector-Hard...gateway&sr=8-1 -- about $25) and followed the excellent directions supplied here:
http://www.eyephysics.com/BMWG30/bmwg30.html. I did not have to remove any interior body panels to run the cord. It just tucked in under the panels. I used a plastic trim tool to help. When plugged into the unused fuse slot #F59 that I used (located at the end of the fuse block), the detector stays on a while after you shut down as it is wired to a time delay relay. It comes on again when you open the door. --Bob
