Thanks for the reply. Not the answer I was hoping for, but that's reality. I'll have to practice kicking the bluetooth into action.

I'm wondering if it's best to ask the phone to look for pairing or the BMW to do the job. Or both. Sometimes it just seems to stubbornly resist all approaches.

BTW, we have Motorola phones, V600 and V551. Both are intermittently troublesome. (And, no, I'm not trying to get both to connect at once

)
