On Exx and Fxx chassis cars, you needed a new clockspring which allowed power to the heated wheel. You also needed to run 12V and ground to the new clockspring. I don't know if that is all included in the G body cars now or not.
I would look up clocksprings on realoem and determine if there is a clockspring for option 248 (I believe 248 is for steering wheel heat).
If there's a seperate clockspring for option 248, you'll need to order a new clockspring too. It's easy to install - running the wiring is more of a pain than anything else.
If not, then the G is already pre-wired for a heated wheel which is great, you just need to code it into the vehicle order.
