Funny you ask, I just upgraded my brakes
- Brakes: Brakenetic cross drilled discs
- Pads: EBC Redstuff
- Wheels: Stance SF03, gloss black with tinted face
Couldn't be happier with my new setup. Leo at Vibe completely took care of me with the wheels. I found the discs on Ebay then contacted them directly, great guys.
In my opinion, the drilled discs was a necessary upgrade to the brakes once I put the new wheels on. I included a similar angled photo with and without the cross drilled for a direct comparison.
As far as the conversation with the blue calipers, I purchased my 2018 M550 in late November of last year and they already had the brakes. I was specifically looking for one with them.
I think with the black barrels and wheels your eye goes right to blue brakes which makes them pop which I love. I ceramic coated the wheels and brakes, and am running low dust pads. Yes, I am in the infatuation stage still, and enjoy taking photos of the car- it should go away soon I'm sure
