for OE size rotors there is no "upgrade" per say, BMW tends to use harder steel compared to others, the rotor already has an aluminum hat, so the only change would be drilled/slotted
for brake pads again no real 'upgrade' you can try low dust but they sometimes have more noise,
for replacement zimmermann makes fantastic quality rotors

if you are looking for a better peddle feel, I would recommend dot 5.1 fluid and SS lines
